Shocking! The first Satanic wedding takes place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Over the years, Brazil has been embroiled in several religious controversies that have shocked the entire world. Remember the carnival where, in a staged performance, they blasphemed Jesus by having Satan defeat him in the parade? An image of Jesus drinking beer was also shown, and on another occasion, a series ridiculed the biblical story of Jesus and his disciples. These public spectacles were not isolated jokes or minor acts of irreverence, but carefully organized displays that many believers perceived as direct attacks on the Christian faith. For countless Christians, such scenes represented a painful mockery of what they hold most sacred, turning holy figures into objects of entertainment and ridicule. What once would have been considered unthinkable has slowly become normalized in modern culture, where shock value often replaces reverence and respect.

In the Satanic realm, these manifestations continue unabated. At the end of March 2025, what, according to civil registries, was the first officially recognized “Luciferian” marriage in the country took place in Brazil. Perhaps many are unaware that, both in Brazil and other parts of the world, there are temples where Satan is worshipped. These groups operate openly, organizing events, ceremonies, and gatherings that directly contradict biblical teachings. While some defend these practices under the banner of religious freedom, others see them as a clear sign of moral and spiritual decline. The fact that such ceremonies are now publicly registered and legally acknowledged shows how deeply society has changed in just a few decades, moving further away from its Christian roots.

For the occasion, the bride and groom exchanged their traditional white attire for red robes, and the groom arrived on horseback. The ceremony chants consisted entirely of hymns dedicated to the deity Astaroth, while several women danced around the couple. The wedding was officiated by the leaders of the Luciferian Church, Jonathan de Oliveira Ribeiro and Lídia Almeida Oliveira. Witnesses described an atmosphere filled with dark symbolism, candles, and ritualistic gestures intended to imitate sacred ceremonies but directed toward entirely different spiritual forces. What for Christians is a covenant before God was, in this case, transformed into a pledge of loyalty to a figure traditionally associated with rebellion and darkness. The contrast between the two worldviews could not have been more striking.

Primera boda luciferana

Following the pattern of a Christian wedding, the couple offered their vows in public; however, they made their demonic beliefs clear by placing a tree on the altar, which—as they explained—symbolizes the growth of their union and is consecrated to Astaroth. Both promised to follow the internal “Ten Commandments” of their sect, reserved only for its members. Instead of invoking God’s blessing, they invoked what they consider the protection of their spiritual guide. The symbolism was deliberate and provocative, borrowing the structure of Christian liturgy while emptying it of its original meaning. To many observers, this was not merely a private spiritual expression but a deliberate attempt to parody biblical traditions and replace them with something entirely opposed to them.

Some websites have published these supposed commandments—actually eleven, because they include an additional point—which circulate unofficially in Luciferian communities. They are reproduced below as they are usually published:

  • Lucifer represents the light of intellect, the wisdom and power unique to each individual who dares to take on that responsibility.
  • The Adversary symbolizes the inner liberator and spiritual rebel who drives self-evolution.
  • Lucifer is the balanced bearer of Venus’s torch: light at dawn and at dusk.
  • The Adversary embodies the spark of conscience that questions everything and places responsibility solely on oneself.
  • The “fall” of Lucifer alludes to the liberation of the mind from slavery and the courage to explore and master one’s own darkness.
  • The Adversary represents rebellion with purpose: wisdom, strength, and power.
  • Lucifer encourages healthy self-love and care of the temple that is mind, body and spirit.
  • To be your own “god” you need the wisdom and strength to govern yourself as if your mind outlived your mortal body.
  • Practice indulgence in moderation: love those who deserve it and despise those who don’t.
  • Todo acto, por altruista que parezca, nace del interés propio; reconocerlo permite elegir acciones que te beneficien a ti y a tus seres queridos.
  • “Becoming God” is understanding that you have the power to create and sustain your own path and illuminate your self-determined potential.

Although they worship Astaroth, Lucifer is the leader of all this, as they claim he is the light that guides them and that their sect only seeks to help people find “wisdom.” In the Luciferian church, they use the inverted cross with a black and red facade. Their aesthetic, language, and symbolism intentionally invert Christian imagery, presenting themselves as the opposite of biblical faith. What they call enlightenment, many believers interpret as deception. For centuries, Scripture has warned about spiritual forces that disguise themselves as light while leading people away from truth. This is why many Christians view these movements not merely as alternative philosophies, but as serious spiritual dangers that can mislead those searching for meaning.

The world has truly gotten out of control; it’s no wonder we hear or read such horrendous things. For many, these events serve as a wake-up call, reminding believers to remain firm in their faith and discerning about the cultural trends that surround them. In times when good is called evil and evil is called good, it becomes even more important to hold fast to biblical convictions and to teach future generations the value of truth, reverence, and spiritual integrity. While society may continue to drift, those who believe in Christ are called to stand as lights in the darkness, responding not with fear, but with conviction, prayer, and unwavering commitment to their faith.
