There are many expressions that we use within our congregations that may sound very beautiful to the point of causing certain feelings in our lives and we must be very careful with that, since as a body of the Lord we cannot go after emotions, but after what God wants for us through His Word.
A well-known phrase that is said during worship is: “When you worship God, He raises up from His throne.” Is this true? Could it be that there really is something that makes the Lord leave His throne and stand up? I don’t know how many will take this phrase, whether literally or simply as an exaggeration to determine that God really likes our praise.
The first thing is that we must understand the magnitude of who God really is, understand that it is not enough to play good music, or a passing emotion of gratitude to God, but that our Lord weighs hearts.
Let’s see something, in the book of Revelation, there is a part where it mentions that everyone is praising the Lord, and I assure you that it is from the heart, but simply the Lord remains on His throne:
