God is my strength and my song

The Psalms are divided into categories, there are psalms that express depression, others that are for God destroy enemies, and others that are grateful, such as Psalm 118, a psalm that although not attributed to King David, many say he who wrote it. Regardless of its author, we can see the wonder of God saving His son.

We cannot lose the sensibility that God is with us, that He is powerful to save, to free us from the enemy’s hand and to demonstrate His power before all. Dear reader, God is still God.

The psalmist expressed with great gratitude:

13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.

14 The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

Psalm 118:13-14

Here the psalmist is talking about how his enemies pushed him violently to remove him once and for all, and recognizes that it was God’s hand that helped him so that his enemies cannot see such a thing. And it is that friends, even when others want to harm us and want to see us on the floor, there is God guarding us with His powerful hand.

Therefore, let us know how to say the same as the psalmist, that our strength and song is the Lord, and that in all our dark moments He has been our only salvation.
