Jesus taught about divorce, as recorded in Matthew chapter 19. After this teaching, he says that people brought their children to Jesus so he could pray and lay his hands on them, but this didn’t sit well with the disciples. There we find Jesus’ popular response to this situation:
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
