In Revelation 5 John tells us that there was no one worthy to open the seals:
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
After this John cries when he sees that no one is worthy, but then we find:
behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
This is what the song “Is He Worthy?” by the Christian group IBI is about, that the Lamb is the only one worthy of breaking the seal and opening the book, the one who has overcome, the Lamb who was slain and gave us freedom.
