Teen who left ‘America’s Got Talent’ judges in tears uses her struggles to spread the gospel

Amanda Mammana, 19, is an America’s Got Talent finalist who has inspired millions with an incredible story of overcoming and recently revealed how she uses her struggles to spread the Gospel.

Mammana has a speech impediment. When she participated in America’s Got Talent in July, she revealed that her singing helped her overcome the pain caused by her condition. Amanda told her testimony at the Luis Palau Association’s CT CityFest, where she explained how she uses her story to share God’s love:

I’ve been stuttering for about 10 years, and it’s definitely something that scares me and makes me feel insecure. But, by the grace of God, I realized that I don’t stutter when I sing, so I can take advantage of it and make it a great way to spread the Gospel.

In her first participation in AGT in July she told her story and received great support from the public. At the end of her participation, the judges could not hide their emotion and voted for her.

After the crowd had calmed down, Amanda tearfully told the judges about the difficulties she has had due to her speech impediment:

As a child, there were times when I thought, “I’ll never be able to do this, I’m not good enough.

To which someone in the audience yelled, “You’re good enough!”

Although Mammana was eliminated from the competition last week, she inspired many. We pray to God that Amanda’s story continues to spread and inspire many people who face challenges like this.
