The song “The Old Rugged Cross” has transcended for generations and has been sung by many around the world, since it tells us about the cross of Christ.
The cross of Christ has a broad meaning for the church, because the greatest milestone in history was marked there, and as the song says: “In his triumph my glory will be! and someday instead of a cross, my crown Jesus will give me.”
Praise Jesus for his cross, for the gift of salvation on that cross. The apostle Paul saw fit to glory in that cross, for Galatians 6:14 tells us:
