Chris Tomlin Releases Christmas Song Inspired By His Wife’s Pregnancy

Chris Tomlin has written a Christian song inspired by an event in his life. The song is called Miracle of Love. Chris says the inspiration for this song was his wife’s sudden pregnancy. He describes it as a “little Christmas surprise.”

This is the third daughter of the artist as revealed to People magazine. The baby will be born as scheduled 11 days before Christmas, and this led him to write a song about the birth of Christ and the news that he will be a father again.

The artist also said:

“I started thinking about how I could write a lyric that talks about my baby being born at Christmas and then talks about ‘the baby,’ Jesus, being born at Christmas and that each line would match and would have a double meaning”.

Part of the song now available says:

“I got the news today
I heard that you were coming
It took my breath away
And the tears filled up my eyes
Surely you’d change some things
And the way that I was living
I hit my knees to pray
So grateful for new life”
