We must be more than clear, when this verse tells us about those who die and who are already silent, they can no longer praise God, they cannot move their hands and thank God. That is why we who live are more than privileged because the Lord has allowed us to continue living and that is why we must praise and glorify His Holy and blessed Name.
That is why all of us who today live by the grace and mercy of God, we must give praises to God, glorify the name of Almighty God. Many of us have seen that when a person dies, they can no longer do anything (breathe, speak, move, etc.).
That is why this verse in this chapter tells us about those who died today and can no longer praise God. So you and I who are alive, praise God with all our hearts, surrender all that we are before Him.
17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.
18 But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord.
Psalm 115:17-18 (KJV)
This psalm begins by talking about idols, but the last verses tell us about those who live, they can praise God, raise a flag and glorify God in all His glory. So, let’s praise our Gods forever, because only those who are silent and dead, those can no longer praise God.
