There is no God as great as our God who lives in the heights of heaven, a God who has done wonders, Creator of all that exists. Let us praise the name of Almighty God, let us sing only for God, let us give all exaltation for ever and ever.
Let us thank our God, all His saints let us prostrate ourselves before Him, His Name is above all names, His Name must be mentioned in all nations, and may all people and languages praise and sing of the mighty glory of our God.
Every day it is good to recognize the beauty of our powerful God who has given us the virtue of being His children, of being able to praise Him with all our hearts, His works are wonderful in our lives, His works make us change, lament becomes dance and sadness joy. God is the primary author of our entire environment.
When we stop to meditate on who God is, we understand that our praise is not a simple act or a routine expression, but a sincere response to His greatness and mercy. God reveals Himself daily through His creation, through His protection, and through His constant care for His people. Even in moments when we do not fully understand what He is doing, His hand is still at work, shaping our lives according to His perfect will.
To praise God is to acknowledge that everything we have and everything we are comes from Him. Our breath, our strength, our opportunities, and even our trials are under His sovereign control. When we lift our voices in praise, we are declaring that God reigns above circumstances, above nations, and above every power that exists. This recognition strengthens our faith and renews our hope, reminding us that we serve a living and faithful God.
And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
Isaiah 12:4
Chapter 12 of the book of Isaiah is a song of gratitude to the Lord that exhorts the people to sing psalms to God for the magnificent works that He has done, so that everyone knows His powerful works.
This passage invites the people of God not only to praise Him privately, but also to proclaim His deeds openly. It is a call to testify, to speak about what God has done, and to make His name known among the nations. Praise becomes a testimony when we declare how God has rescued us, guided us, and transformed our lives through His grace and truth.
The prophet Isaiah reminds us that praise has a communal and missional purpose. When we declare the greatness of God, others are encouraged to seek Him and to recognize His authority. The exaltation of God’s name brings unity among His people and serves as a reminder that He alone deserves all honor and glory. His name is not exalted because of our words, but our words align with the truth of who He already is.
So, day after day, let us recognize the name of God in the highest, that each nation give glory and praise to God. Let us prostrate ourselves before Him, because God is the only true God, His works are wonderful and His power is visible through everything He has done in our lives.
May our lives continually reflect this truth. Let our actions, our words, and our attitudes be expressions of praise to God. In moments of joy and in seasons of difficulty, let us never cease to exalt His holy name, trusting that He is always worthy, always faithful, and always deserving of our worship.
