Silent Night, one of the best known carols today, who does not know this composition? Or at least, who has not heard? And this carol, composed in German by the Austrian school teacher and organist Franz Xaver Gruber and written by the Austrian priest Joseph Mohr, is a tremendous composition for Christmas.
This song was first performed on December 24, 1818. Although this work was composed by Mohr, on Christmas Eve took it to Gruber and asked him to do a guitar accompaniment for the service of the church. It is also said that many romantic legends have emerged from this song.
