I will sing of you among the nations

Psalm 57 is also a statement from David when he fled from Saul, who wanted to take his life. Imagine for a moment being persecuted by the president of your nation at all costs, it must be a very uncomfortable situation, and remember that David had great respect for Saul, since he was once anointed by God. David may have taken Saul’s life several times but he did not do it.

Today we do not have Saul chasing our lives, nor perhaps we have anyone chasing us literally, but we also suffer, we have afflictions, diseases and great trials, however, at that time we must learn to give glory and honor to God, do you do it in these moments?

David knew how to give glory to God in the midst of persecution:

7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

9 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.

10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

Psalm 57:7-11

In the midst of any situation it is good that we say like David: “I will praise you among the peoples, O Lord; I will sing of you among the nations”. Let us give glory to God before all, who know that there is a powerful God to trust, which is our refuge in the most cruel storm. Let’s tell everyone that God is with us.
