The Bible or Word of God strongly forbids us to worship another being other than God. God is a jealous God, and He does not share His glory with anyone, therefore, all worship, all praise must come from our heart only and exclusively for God and no one else.
John, was a man who could see the things that would happen on the day of the end of time, really were incredible visions. But the Bible tells us that at one point he wanted to prostrate himself before one of the angels with whom he spoke, but the angel answers him correctly:
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Revelation 19:9-10
We take verse nine so that we know the context, that whoever was talking to John was an angel, not Jesus. Then verse ten in its beginning tells us that John prostrated himself before the angel to “worship him.” And obviously the angel’s response was: “Look, don’t do it; I am a servant just like you, and of your brothers who retain the testimony of Jesus.”
