We have written a lot about praise and true worship of the Lord, but not enough to stop writing on this valuable subject. We have learned that we have been created to worship God, but we also learn throughout the Bible that worship and praise that comes from the heart has power.
We sing when God gives us the victory, we sing when we are happy or grateful to God, but we also sing when we are in the worst adversity, knowing that there is power in praise, and this has been demonstrated very well by the apostle Paul and Silas:
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
Acts 16:25-26
They were imprisoned, in a jail, with chains, with guards at the doors, but there is nothing and no one who can stop the work of God, our Lord is powerful to complete the work He wants to do and that was not yet the end of these two men of God, who praying and singing praises to the God they trusted could visualize a great miracle of God.
