Verses that show us the importance of praise III

This is the third part of our article Bible Verses that show us the importance in praise. At the end of this article we will leave you the links to the first and second part in case you had not read them.

Man has always bowed to something, regardless of whether it is right or wrong. Man will always be in search of something, and that something is either a false god or is God in its essence. And you, are you engaged in a search?

Next we will see other verses that speak about the glory of God and His praise.

God does not share His glory with anyone

God has always forbidden praise to someone other than Him. He always reminded the people of Israel that they did not have to worship other gods, that they did not have to give praise to anyone but Him.

I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Isaiah 42:8

This is our God, our Lord Jesus Christ, and only He is deserving of all glory and honor. Who are we giving praise to? Only to the Lord belongs the glory!

Praise to God cannot be negotiated

Praising God does not depend on circumstances, that is, we cannot worship God simply in the blessings or simply in the moments we think we need, no, we must worship God in both bad and good times, God constantly deserves glory:

17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Habakkuk 3:17-18

The prophet Habakkuk knew what was coming and yet he understood that he should give praise to God in those coming bad times. In the same way, our praise to God should never stop, regardless of the moment or the difficulty we are going through.
